You could try Glyphs (www.glyphsapp.com) (I'm its developer). It makes the setup of cursive attachment very easy. You only need to add some anchors and you get a five preview.1 -

You can use classes that span multiple scripts. But don't add specific kerning between scripts. About for the ll (lowercase L) and lk: if those need kerning, your spacing is not right. So don�…3
